Summer Festival 2026: We Came By Sea - Horatio Clare
Clevedon LitFest is delighted to welcome celebrated Welsh author, broadcaster and academic Horatio Clare to this year’s Summer Festival for a special event discussing We Came By Sea.
Horatio Clare is the acclaimed author of works spanning travel writing, memoir, nature writing and children’s literature. Alongside his literary career, he has written and broadcast extensively on mental health and psychiatry, bringing thoughtful insight to complex contemporary issues.
A former BBC producer, Clare worked on landmark cultural programmes including Front Row, Night Waves and The Verb. He currently presents Sound Walks on BBC Radio 3 and is writer and co-presenter of the Radio 4 series Is Psychiatry Working? He is also a Senior Lecturer in Creative Non-Fiction at the University of Manchester.
At Clevedon LitFest, Clare will discuss We Came By Sea, offering audiences an opportunity to engage with one of Britain’s most distinctive contemporary voices.
