Summer Festival 2026: Roots & Routes - Online events
This year, selected events at The Riff Corner will also be available to watch online. Tickets to the livestream will be available alongside tickets to the in-person event.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Register for your Livestream ticket using the links below. Ticket sales close 48hrs before the event.
2. 48hrs before the event you will receive an email with a link to YouTube to watch the livestream.
3. Tune in at the correct time - the event is live! Once the stream has ended you won't be able to re-watch it.
MORE INFORMATION
Ticket sales are limited to one per person. Each ticket allows one device to access the livestream.
If more than one person will be watching, you don't need a ticket each.
The YouTube chat will be monitored by the event organisers, and we will try to help with any questions or technical issues.In the event of technical failure or if the event is cancelled, tickets will be refunded.

Belonging and Identity - Fiona Williams
Sun 14 June - 12.30pm (stream starts at 12.30pm)
Fiona Williams is a British novelist whose work explores belonging, identity, and the quiet tensions of contemporary rural life. Her debut novel, The House of Broken Bricks, was widely praised for its lyrical prose and deeply observed portrayal of community, class, and migration in modern Britain.

The Unquiet Landscape - Adam Scovell

Exploring the uncanny nature of rural landscapes and works by writers, artists and filmmakers who were equally inspired by England’s unquiet lands.

Lost People - Margaret Elphinstone
Sat 13 June - 2.30pm (stream starts at 2.30pm)
Margaret Elphinstone will be reading from her novel Lost People (shortlisted for the 2024 Saltire Award) which focuses on hope and renewal in an unspecified world of trauma and devastation. She will be discussing the themes of exile, displacement and journeys through liminal places.
