This November, Clevedon LitFest’s Celebration of the Book returns as a one-day convention of books and book arts. 

Celebration of the Book will bring together authors and book artists from across the southwest for a day packed full of workshops, talks, readings and exhibitions, all centred around our popular book and makers market.

If you’re passionate about words and beautifully designed books, you’ll find plenty to enjoy at Celebration of the Book. Discover what's on below.

Workshops - from £10 
Workshops are ticketed separately. Book early to avoid missing out!

Day Pass - £15 
Includes entry to all of the talks, panels and readings taking place during the whole event (10am – 10pm). Does not include workshops.

Evening Only Pass - £10 
Include the headline talk and evening sessions (6pm – 10pm)

Talks, Panels and Readings (all day)

All 25 of the talks, panels and readings on the programme for Celebration of the Book are included in our Day Pass. Highlights include Tabitha Stanmore, James Witts, a Crime Writing Masterclass with Heather J Reed and Jason Mann, and a star-studded panel on Women's History. | More information coming soon.

Book and Makers Market (10am-4:30pm)

Our market gathers together over 40 authors, makers and community groups from across the South West. Entry to the market is FREE, so come along and browse. It's the perfect time to pick up some Christmas prezzies or treat yourself to a good book to snuggle up with on a cold winter night. | List of traders...

Evening Headline Talk
(7:00pm)

Our evening headline guests, in association with Bristol Radical History Group, are Richard White and Dr Christina Horvath, authors of Breaking The Dead Silence, which explores the legacies of empire and slave ownership in Bath and Bristol’s memoryscapes. | Find out more...

Venue & Facilities

Our venues are Clevedon Community Centre and Clevedon Friends' Meeting House. All of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. Squirrels Restaurant will be open for lunches and snacks, and the Prescott Bar will be open into the evening for drinks. | More information about facilities... 

 

Volunteer

We're looking for extra volunteers to help as stewards on the day. Can you help greet and direct visitors, check tickets, or move a few chairs and tables? Additional Information

Children/teens under 18 attending workshops must be accompanied by an adult. Non-participating adults may attend free of charge to accompany their child.

Carers may claim a free day pass when attending with their caree.
